The planned work at Kennel Lane Ripponden was abandoned due to mountains of traffic being diverted away from fires on the M62.
So plan B - Rich, Ken and Jerry were able to tackle three jobs.
1. Removing a disused notice board from Midgehole Road
The board was set in concrete so took some time to remove. It will be refurbished and re-sited on the Calderdale Way by the Blue Pig. This is part of a Visit Calderdale project to explain and promote the Calderdale Way.
2 Stoney Lane above Pecket Well
This is on the route of the Heptonstall Festival race to be run on 5th July. The top of Stoney lane was very overgrown so the whole top section was cut back.
This was reported by the public and was potentially dangerous as it was precariously resting on a high wall. The branch was removed and the path cleared.
